SEASON 1 EPISODE 9: Solitary

Episode 9 focuses on Sayid. He finds a cable running out of the ocean to the jungle and he follows it He was caught in trap and captured by a woman named Rousseau. She revealed that they were a part of a science team and crashed on the island sixteen years ago. She identifies the group of the island inhabitants as the �Others� and claims that they are the carriers of the sickness that her companion caught and exclaimed that the Others whispers in the jungle. Sayid escaped with the notes Rousseau wrote about the island. While figuring out his way out of the camp, Sayid hears the whispers she told him about. In the flashback, Sayid was tasked to torture a prisoner named Nadia. The superior tells him to execute Nadia, but he let her escape because she�s a childhood friend.
